Inspired by Jean Vigo’s 1930 documentary short À propos de Nice, an octet of filmmakers hits the French resort for seven segments, both fiction and nonfiction. Denis regular Grégoire Colin stars in her tense and nonverbal Nice, Very Nice; and Iranian filmmakers Kiarostami and Kimiavi put the latter onscreen in Repérages, retracing some of the steps of Vigo’s film and finding one of his descendants.
