A multiple-Oscar winner, Forman’s sensuous epic, based on Peter Shaffer’s Broadway hit, recounts the eponymous composer’s downfall at the hands of rival Salieri. Forman happily expanded on his theatrical cut at the behest of Warner Home Video, willingly adding 20 minutes in 2002, changing the rating from PG to R in the process.
