Hammer exhumed the Mummy franchise one last time with a Bram Stoker adaptation that, as with their other movies from this period, happily embraced gender inversion with its title character. Statuesque Carry On films regular Valerie Leon plays the dual role of professor Andrew Keir’s daughter and the Egyptian Queen who possesses the innocent to kill, baby, kill. Director Seth Holt (The Nanny) died during production, and Hammer executive Michael Carreras stepped in to finish the movie.
