Nothing is as it seems in Abbas Kiarostami’s evolving drama. Taking place over the course of a day, the film starts with a French antiques dealer (Juliette Binoche) attending a lecture given by a British writer (William Shimell) on his new book, Certified Copy, and continues through an alternately-paced, multi-faceted relationship between the two. Binoche won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival for her performance.
