Veterans of provocative screen entertainment from in front of and behind the camera pool their resources for a kinky double-life tale; Russell (Women in Love, The Devils, et al.) directs producer Barry Sandler’s (Making Love) script and Kathleen Turner (hot off Body Heat) takes on the challenging starring role of fashion designer by day/hooker “China Blue” by night. In her latter guise, she is hounded by reverend Anthony Perkins (the iconic star of Psycho), while both sides of her attract the interest of John Laughlin — who is unhappily married to Annie Potts.
