An experiment in TV crime and excess: Tatort (Crime Scene), first airing in 1970 and still running today, features a revolving lineup of investigators (92 and counting) and locales. Fuller’s contribution, centering on customs investigator Kressin, has a pop sensibility, is sexier than German TV typically permitted, and takes the show into a new realm of mad invention.
