Tavernier’s first English-language film anticipated reality TV by generations, imagining a society in which death by disease is so rare that the final days of the terminally ill are the stuff of prime-time television. With a camera implanted in his eye, desperate journalist Harvey Keitel befriends a dying Romy Schneider in a bid to hit the big time.

Please note: We are screening the director’s cut of the film.
