At the studio’s behest, Fisher and screenwriter Jimmy Sangster resumed the franchise with Christopher Lee belatedly back as Dracula, kicking off a new series of movies centered around Hammer’s most iconic star. On a couples’ road trip through the Carpathian Mountains, a breakdown strands two brothers and their wives near the wrong castle, as minion Philip Latham steers them into the clutches of his master, the Count. The make-up is by essential Hammer artisan Roy Ashton.
