There’s gold in them thar Mexican fortress reserves, and 19th-century convict Jim Brown breaks out to get at it, teaming up with prospector Lee Van Cleef and several dozen Apache acquaintances for a daring raid, taking on Patrick O’Neal’s military garrison. There’s gold as well, Brown finds, in the form of Marianna Hill. A screenplay co-written by Larry Cohen keeps the R-rated excitement coming as Guillermin helms it with brawn. With Iron Eyes Cody and Elisha Cook Jr.
