In this riveting, illuminating and voyeuristic feature film by French filmmaker Alexis Lloyd (30 Beats), a charismatic newcomer joins a therapy group and announces his intentions to write a TV series based on his experience. This, of course, doesn’t sit well with members of the group who have shared secrets, fantasies, laughter and tears. Inspired by Irvin D. Yalom’s novel The Schopenhauer Cure, this world premiere brings group treatment into the open with Elliot Zeisel, a psychoanalyst and leader in the field of group psychotherapy, calling it “the closest representation of what group feels like that anyone’s ever captured.”
