When a young surfer suffers a tragic accident, his parents (Emmanuelle Seigner and Kool Shen) must decide whether to move forward with a heart transplant—a decision that links several characters over the course of 24 hours, including a hospital consultant (Bouli Lanners), his translant specialist (Tahar Rahim), and an ailing musician (Anne Dorval) who reconnects with an old lover (pianist Alice Taglioni). Acclaimed director Katell Quillévéré’s third feature is a heart-rending, exquisitely photographed drama with grace notes to spare.
