Elegantly edited home movies, performance footage, and interviews (Lorne Michaels, Chevy Chase, Amy Poehler, Laraine Newman, and Martin Short among them) illuminate her sublime talent: an ecstatic entertainer with infectious warmth and tremendous physical commitment. Love, Gilda also charts Radner’s struggles with bulimia and eventually cancer—and how her frankly humorous response to the latter shattered taboos and confirmed her legacy.
