B-movie mogul Charles Band secured major studio distribution for his 3-D-lensed crossbreeding of Star Wars, Mad Max, and High Noon. On a remote desert planet, evil Jared-Syn (Mike Preston of The Road Warrior) seeks a potent crystal while heroes Dogen (Jeffrey Byron) and Dhyana (’80s starlet Kelly Preston) battle to stop him. Costar Tim Thomerson re-upped with Band to headline the Trancers franchise.
