Blier took another surprising turn—towards the conventional, making a star-driven romantic comedy written with premier French screenwriter Gérard Brach. In a gorgeous Alps setting, Isabelle Huppert schusses into the arms of suave Thierry Lhermitte but is unexpectedly also drawn to his regular-guy pal Coluche. The two male stars were reunited for the next-to-last-time onscreen, having started their careers in a theater troupe and roomed together in real life.
