Oscar-winning directors return to NYC with top talent in tow. Scorsese’s Life Lessons dramatizes the creativity/selfishness dichotomy for SoHo painter Nick Nolte and assistant Rosanna Arquette; Coppola’s fanciful Life Without Zoe (co-scripted by daughter Sofia) stars Heather McComb (in her film debut) as a pre-teen living in the famed Sherry-Netherland hotel; and Allen’s hilarious Oedipus Wrecks teams him with Mae Questel (long-ago voice of Betty Boop and Olive Oyl) as his mother.
