The first of Lenzi’s four lurid thrillers with leading lady Carroll Baker (Baby Doll), who had left America for Italy and was accordingly cast here as an expatriate; newly widowed, her mourning period gets spiced up by the arrival of younger swingers Lou Castel (Fists in the Pocket) and Colette Descombes—but their partying soon takes a sinister turn. Future auteur Bertrand Tavernier, himself on an Italian sojourn, was assistant director.
