Rival series find common ground as original Emmanuelle helmer Jaeckin directs Black Emanuelle star Laura Gemser in his contribution to an omnibus film spinning erotic tales with twists. In Jaeckin’s “Isle of Sirens,” stranded sailor Roland Blanche lands in a seeming paradise, with women galore, including Gemser; the other segments are Terayama’s “The Grass Labyrinth” and Borowczyk’s Guy de Maupassant adaptation “The Wardrobe.”

Screening presented in collaboration with Federal Express, who delivered this print a full three months after its scheduled playdates in our omnibus film series.
