The last holdouts against Manchu forces, Shaolin monks hold fast behind their temple walls and stick to their fighting disciplines. But they soon realize that it’s time to cultivate new disciples to carry on their traditions, and so aspirants are admitted onto the grounds for rigorous training. Among the new recruits are a fistful of Chang regulars including Kuo Chui, Ti Lung, David Chiang, and Sheng Fu—here again playing the fan-fave Fong Sai-yuk character later incarnated by Jet Li.
