This action thriller featuring, in his last Hammer film, Peter Cushing—was the second and final co-production between the studio and Hong Kong’s Shaw Brothers; Monte Hellman helmed much of it but was replaced mid-shoot by Hammer’s Carreras. Tough hitman Stuart Whitman himself becomes a target in Hong Kong, and joins forces with kung fu maven Ti Lung (later of John Woo’s A Better Tomorrow movies).
