In early 1990s Paris, semi-renowned HIV-positive writer Jacques (Pierre Deladonchamps, Stranger by the Lake) tries to maintain his sense of romance and humor while facing the prospect of his own mortality. When he befriends carefree aspiring filmmaker Arthur (Vincent Lacoste, Eden) on a trip to Brittany he’s instantly smitten, and the two men move beyond their casual tryst toward something much more transformative. An unshakable portrait of love and loss, cruising and courtship, Sorry Angel may be perhaps the richest work yet from Love Songs’ Christophe Honoré.

In French with English subtitles.
