Welles saddles up as 13th-century Mongol general Bayan of the Hundred Eyes, whom Saxon lads Tyrone Power and Jack Hawkins join up with to battle the Normans across multiple continents. The lavish 20th Century Fox production boasts Oscar-nominated costume design by Michael Whittaker; cinematography by Jack Cardiff; and a cast including Cécile Aubry, teenaged Robert Blake, Mary Clare, Finlay Currie, Laurence Harvey, Herbert Lom, and Michael Rennie.
