A brilliant scientist accidentally fuses his DNA with a common housefly during a teleportation experiment gone wrong, triggering a grotesque physical transformation, while his journalist girlfriend deals with the aftermath. The Fly sees director David Cronenberg take his body horror fascination to it’s most tragic and romantic extremes thanks to the lived-in performances from Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis, and the Academy-Award winning make-up effects by Chris Walas and Stephan Dupuis.
