Also known as The Frightened Woman, which is the initial state of mind for journalist Dagmar Lassander (of Mario Bava’s A Hatchet for the Honeymoon), held against her will by twisted doctor Philippe Leroy, before fighting back against her captor. Schivazappa’s elegantly designed excursion into S&M was endorsed by erotic-film auteur Radley Metzger, who lent his name as presenter for the movie’s U.S. run. The special effects are by ace Carlo Rambaldi (Possession, Alien).
