One of Rollin’s darkest and goriest meditations on female kinship. Françoise Blanchard pulls out all the stops as a wealthy woman who died young but is reanimated after toxic chemicals are dumped near her crypt; lifelong friend Marina Pierro rushes to her side but must face the grim reality that the revived heiress now has a craving for—you guessed it—blood. This was the third Rollin film scored by composer Philippe d’Aram; their collaborations spanned three decades.
