Down Under, production designer-turned-writer/director Mogherini fictionalized an enduring real-life Australian mystery in which a mutilated woman was found dead, suitably for giallo, wearing yellow pajamas. While immigrant Dalila Di Lazzaro juggles jobs and men (including Michele Placido), Ray Milland comes out of retirement to join Rod Mullinar (then a top Aussie actor) in investigating the murder. Rounding out the global contingent: French singer Amanda Lear, on the soundtrack.
