Following an unfinished movie earlier in the decade, Rollin regrouped with cinematographer Guy Leblond for a belated debut feature. The first portion is a pre-existing short; the second picks up and elongates its story threads. Stunning black-and-white imagery prevails throughout as four ostracized sisters are given the benefit of the doubt that they are not vampires, until things go south and vampire queen Jacqueline Sieger steps in.
