This beautifully photographed film surveys five ecologists who broke new ground in scientific concepts that we now take for granted. These researchers recount how, starting in the 1960s, they began to understand the food chain and how it shapes our ecosystem, with “keystone” species that structure the natural world. Only by observing majestic locales like the Serengeti, a place where nature ran free for many thousands of years, can we imagine a sustainable future.
An Abramorama release.
