Legendary film producer Jeremy Thomas is joined by filmmaker Mark Cousins on his yearly drive from England to the Cannes Film Festival. On this five-day journey, Thomas and Cousins go through rural France while running through some highlights from Thomas’s extensive filmography, namely a slew of the most acclaimed and controversial films ever made, including Bertolucci’s The Last Emperor (winner of nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture), Cronenberg’s Crash, and Roeg’s Bad Timing. Through Cousins’s lens and with some intercutting of interviews and archives, Thomas regales us with tales from his out-of-this-stratosphere world of cinema splashed with punk and counter-culture.
