In ultra-Orthodox Israel, 32-year-old Michal (Noa Koler, in a starmaking turn) is getting married, excited to finally have love and the acceptance of her community. When her fiancé abandons her a month before the ceremony, she decides to trust fate and forge ahead, giving her just over 20 days to find a replacement groom. With this Rohmerian spin on the classic romantic comedy, Fill the Void director Rama Burshtein returns with another wise, knowing look at a woman’s role in the Jewish world.
