Touko Laaksonen (1920-1991), after serving with distinction in WWII, struggled with repressive mores in his native Finland. Yet, drawing and designing as Tom of Finland, he became a groundbreaking creator as his unapologetically erotic depictions of men would be embraced as icons of gay liberation and a global cultural influence. With a score incorporating compositions by future Oscar winner Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker), this biographical drama stars Finnish actor Pekka Strang in a moving portrayal of an artist whose work continues to entice and inspire.
