Once upon a time in China in 1925, Peking Opera blues overtake company member Ti Lung, who runs fatally afoul of his corrupt boss Ku Feng; his brother David Chiang hits town to strike back at those responsible for the slaying, even as sensitive Wang Ping tries to calm him. Chang continued to advance his lead actors’ careers within the Shaw Brothers empire, as well as his own skill in freighting violence with psychological motivations and tangible pain in this loose kung fu adaptation of John Boorman’s Point Blank.
