Graham Chapman co-wrote this rollicking swashbuckling spoof and stars as a mad-dog pirate who escapes from prison to retrieve buried treasure while fending off family, friends, enemies, and the law. Among the jaw-dropping supporting cast: Eric Idle, John Cleese, fellow Brit comedy icon Peter Cook (who also co-wrote), Cheech and Chong, James Mason, and four (count ’em!) Young Frankenstein alumni.
