Wiazemsky reunited with her La Chinoise costar Juliet Berto to guest star for writer/director Alain Tanner and cinematographer Renato Berta, both of whom were fast becoming Switzerland’s most noted filmmakers of the 1970s. Twentysomething marrieds Josée Destoop and François Marthouret grow tired of Geneva, and loudly declaim to friends their plans to relocate to Algeria—but when their departure is delayed they have to carry out a charade.
