Exhibitionism, voyeurism, sodomy, murder, cannibalism, castration, foot fetishism, and more are all par for the course for the filthiest family alive. The first of Waters’ Trash Trilogy stars Divine as a notorious criminal who lives with her lover, mentally ill mother, and delinquent son—all nice and cozy together in a trailer. Envious of her reputation, rivals Connie and Raymond Marble try to outdo her by starting their own filthy criminal enterprise of kidnapping teens, impregnating them, and selling their babies to lesbian couples. A full fledged gross-out battle ensues in what Variety called “one of the most vile, stupid and repulsive films ever made.”
