Taboo-smashing dominatrix Wanda (played by Pina Bausch dancer-turned-actress Mechthild Großmann) lures men and women into a Hamburg space alongside her garbed troupe, flouting the binary to unearth hidden desires and longings while exploring the dynamic between sex and power — and who better to do so with than iconic cinematic transgressor Udo Kier? The writer/director/cinematographers were teamed in a production company and dedicated to shaking up the German film industry; they recently reteamed on the documentary Genderation.
