Good guy cop Kris Kristofferson ices a thug played by Rudolph regular Gailard Sartain; after serving his time, he now tries to keep struggling Lori Singer and Keith Carradine out of the clutches of crime boss Divine (appearing out of drag). The striking locations are in fact Seattle, but Rudolph dubbed his setting Rain City as he married a 1940s noir feel to a futuristic vibe.
