In a custom-fitted role, Delon stars alongside older icon Jean Gabin one last time, respectively as an ex-con trying to go straight and the social worker vouching for him; despite getting honest work in the South of France and finding love with Mimsy Farmer, Delon is leaned on mercilessly by cop Michel Bouquet.
